I have the HP Envy 14 Beats edition, forget which model number, but it has a Sandy Bridge i5-2410M and a radeon HD6630M. (second generation envy)

Is the HDMI port on the laptop an HDMI 1.4? I just got a home theatre system with the Audio Return Channel feature (you can send sound upstream TO the reciever from the TV if you have HDMI 1.4).

I'd like to send sound from my laptop across HDMI to the reciever to play over my new system. Do you guys think this is possible? The only thing I want to send is audio, keeping the display on the laptop. Anything I have to set up in Windows to make this happen?

    Thanks for any input guys!
