I replaced Vista with XP Pro two days ago. I have two issues. Roxio Creator Basic which came with Vista does not work any more. Also, the computer restarts instead going into standby/hibernate when I close the lid. Does anybody else have the same problems or any problem at all?

have u checked the settings in the power settings tab for the lid issue?

also roxio may not work because it is a vista only version?

I can no longer watch CNN video...I did a clean install of Vista and Office 2007 2 days ago too...

Also, it seems that going into hibernate takes 2-3 times as long as on XP Pro!! And when goiong into standby, screen just goes blank with no status bar or anything to indicate progress.

Lastly, as soon as the battery warning comes up, th thing gives 10 seconds before it hibernates (though this may be due to crappy battery)

I had that restart problem as well, but it was not related to OS. Did it in Vista *and* XP.

    Got machine exchanged.
