Do you think i'll get a good envy if i exchange it, or do all have the red/orange issue?

Well, after reading all the complaints and reviews i still bought an envy 15 with all the best hp had to offer. I was optimistic that i would not get that issue since i was ordering later February. Well just to my luck I got my envy this morning and surprise surprise red looks like orange. Mine is not really orange, but it is definetely not pure red, to the point that i got paronoid and everything red appears orange to me know.

Just got off the phone with hp and they said i could either send it in for a repair or exchange it for a new one. My two questiions are, is this issue on ALL hp envy 15s 3xx? or only most of us are getting it but not all. What have you guys done about this if you have this issue? Has anyone had luck in getting a good envy after exchanging it or getting it repaired? I don't know if i should get a new one or just get my money back, something tells me the new one will come with the same issue.

All of the 1080p displays are like this. It is a problem with the specific lcd hp chose, so it wont get fixed unless hp makes a change.

Like foremi said, it depends. Primarily it depends on HP's stock. If they purchased allot of them, then there's no chance of it going away. If they blew threw there stock and need more, there's a chance that they will purchase a different lcd model.

My advice would be to return it. Hp has already made it clear that this issue will not be fixed probably not until the next refresh with ivy bridge. They don't think its big enough of a deal to fix or they would have already made a statement detailing how it was being taken care of. If you can live with it keep it but my advice is to just return it and wait until the issue is properly dealt with in the next update
