If so when? I plan on buying this laptop around late may/early june and it would be awesome if they added a finger print scanner before then. It seems like they are becoming more common and I want to know if I should wait. It is something I am interested in.

No, the dv6000t will not get a fingerprint reader. The new Santa Rosa models most likely will however.

They will look similar to the current dv series however, the current dv series will then be phased out.

If you want a finger print scanner, you'll probably have to look at the nc8430 and/or the nx7400 for that.

I don't think the Pavilion series will have fingerprint scanners (do they already? I don't keep track), since they're geared towards home and entertainment. For fingerprint scanners look at the business models, where they consider the information and files more crucial and need extra security features.

As night_2004 said, take a look at the HP Compaq NC8430.
