    Hope someone can help me figure this out.
    What exactly is the difference between the PA286A (basic) & PA287A (advanced) docking stations for the HP Compaq nw8240?

    I just got off the phone with "Mary" from HP and she couldn't tell me the difference, other than one was 'bigger'.

    I have an HP Compaq nw8240 and so want to get a docking station, but no one can tell me which one is better or what the heck is different about the two models. :confused:

    My nw8240 has a tendency to get hot where my palms are and I just want to get it off my kitchen table! Oh and yes, I do have a laptop cooler with a fan sitting under it all the time.

    One would think that HP representative would have been able to tell me that!
