This has been a serious issue occurred to me tow month ago, and no solution could be found through HP supporting team. I did try many recommendations via other web sites.

Yesterday, I did install HP newly released updating sp42660, but all docked usb ports are stll not in function. It might be caused by the previous MS Update HX2LP Kit, but i could not find the removing way for it now.

Any one here have some idea?

I've been fighting with this same issue on my 8510w & advanced docking station since THREE months ago, and I did try on-line chat with HP Support for six times more with total time more than 10 hours, and problem still remain same.

    Nobody here could help me?

Thanks very much for Mathew's kind help at HP's Notebook - HP Compaq, Armada, EVO, LTE, Tablet PC, and such problem followed me had been more than one year had been solved via Chipset Driver Updating, not from HP's wersite, but as per follows:

    IntelĀ® Driver Update Utility
    Automatically identify and find drivers
    IntelĀ® Driver Update Utility

So, my recommendation is HP's driver site should be updated more often and we, as a user of HP's products, should not over-believe OEM!
