    Does Anybody know if its possible to swap the ddr2 ram for ddr3 in dv7t?

    You cannot swap DDR2 ram for DDR3 ram in any notebook because the two memory versions are not pin compatible. DDR2(So-DIMM) is 200pin while DDR3(SO-DIMM) is 204 pins. Therefore if the dv7 came with DDR2 memory then DDR2 memory is all it can use.
