On the SRS's website, under computing products with srs section, hp notebooks are listed. Does that mean HP is shipping its current notebooks with the SRS audio enhancements OR could it do it in future??
Any ideas??

im fairly certain that all pavilion notebooks have SRS wow..

AFAIK, SRS is available on all current HP Pavilion notebooks (DV series) as well as the TouchSmart TX2
-
but IDT doesn't show it, any drivers you know of that perhaps show SRS support

A friend of mine got her CTO dv4t couple of weeks ago. I did the job of clean installing her vista, and I installed all the plugins from HP website. Now that I asked her to check her system, she couldn't find anything like SRS on her system. I also dont remember installing anything from HP website that would say SRS. So, does that mean SRS is embedded into the hardware, or I just missed something here??

my IDT audio settings menu has options to enable/disable SRS wow under 'Speakers and Dual Headphones'... there are also options under 'enhancements' in WMP.
as a side note, on the lower left hand side of the LCD bezel, it says 'SRS premium sound' -
