Hey, I have a DV9207us with a built-in SD slot. Does anyone know if the SD slots on our computers work with SDHC cards?

Genrally most laptops do because its a software thing-Not hardware limitations.. But dont take my word.

Trouble is alot of those internal readers are made from really cheap parts so they may never work as they should. Per my understandings few laptops can read SDHC out of the box. I would check with HP for specs on the card reader. Maybe there is a firmware update for the card reader. If not you'll need an external reader which can read SDHC, those actually tend to work much better and read much faster.

I can't seem to find anything published on this. Does anyone have an SDHC card that they can try on their HP?

When I had Vista x64 and x86 it recognized the SDHC card after the updates. It doesn't work with XP unfortunately.

My DV9500 works just fine with a 4 GB SDHC I just bought.

I had to update the firmware on my Pentax K100D camera though, and now I'm set.

Just to let you know, I have an HP DV2000t, and the A-Data Class 6 SDHC Turbo, does not work on it. Lights blink but nothing happens in XP. Using XP by the way and can't find any new drivers on HP's site.

It would be appreciated if someone points us in the right direction if there is a right direction. Thanks.

I just bought a HP Pavilion dv2818ca and has been trying to find out if I can use a SDHC card. I tried contacting HP and the person who got back to me just told me that in the manual, there is no mention of SDHC. I have been reading that for other card readers it only requires a firmware update. Can anyone please verify. Thanks

Hi all, my dv9267ea supports sdhc cards upto 8GB. I have a HP Digital Drive (small usb device) that only supports 4GB. Saying that I bought a card reader for 1p on Amazon that supports my 4GB-very impressed!
