I have a R4025 which as we all know doesn't. I'm thinking of returning it while I can and getting a different model. I really like the build quality of HP, so I was hoping they had a dual channel option.

In the consumer line, only the HP zd8000 or the x6000 use dual-channel memory, but they come with Pentium 4 processors. In HP's business line, there are a fair number of notebooks that use dual channel configuration with Pentium M processors.

KrispyKreme is correct. The only consumer-level notebook with dual channel is the zd8k/x6k. Check out HP's Business notebook line for more options.

We all know the R4k/zv6k should have dual-channel but let's not get into that again..... -
That's alright guys, I'm going to keep my R4025. I suspect money would be better spent upgrading my 4200rpm HD to a 7200. The chance that I will be signifcantly "hurt" by not having a machine with dual channel is minimal.

That's a good choice. Even though dual channel theoretically doubles the memory bandwidth, in actual use, that never truly happens.
Does any HP/Compaq Laptop use Dual Channel?
