hmm see i just came from a toshiba satellite that my roomate now has and she gets a better connection than i have. i also used to get a connection while in class and now i barely get one at all.
i have searched around everywhere for solution to my problem but most people have nothing but good things to say about broadcom wireless cards..what internal card do you have? i have noticed that some of hp's laptops come with different cards. also what router are you using? i have the wrt54g.
but i dont think thats the problem because at school i have the same problem..

I have the broadcom 802.11a/b/g - Bluetooth as well. Using a linksys WCG200 cable gateway (cable modem/router). And yeah, I wouldnt think it would be the router if you have it set up fine (802.11g or both b/g) and others work fine. I know calling HP tech support can be a pain in the behind, but worth a try. Sounds like a bum wireless card
