Hi guys
To reduce my E14 (first gen) temps by a little bit while gaming I would like to set my CPU (i5 45m) to like 90% because the 5650m will bottleneck before the CPU anyway to reduce heat?
Anybody know how to do this? thanks!
Edit: the term may be to "undervolt" the cpu?

Advanced power plan settings > Processor Settings > Maximum Processor State.
Set it to whatever you like
TinyGrab - Simple. Screenshot. Sharing.
You won't see as many CPU power options as I have on the screenshot. -
Hey man thanks for the quick reply, and it worked much appreciated !!
-
Yea it works fantastic, i have mine set to 80% so it goes up to 2ghz instead of 2.4 and the fans never kick in when playin games. Try it!
-
its actually at 85% and passive cooling, Try and you wont be dissapointed! The fan still works although it says passive. Temperatures are very good as lower clock of cpu doesnt hit up the laptop.

Yeah dude my temps are around 68 for both my i5 cpus and ati gpu, amazing!!! thanks
-
Woah.
68C when gaming, or during normal usage?
68C during normal usage is way too high.... -
oh no currently i got 32/31C for the two cores. The 68C is for gaming! Im loving the temps, but I also have a laptop cooler (coolermaster x2) and it significantly reduces GPU heat + undervolting = amazing!
-
Oh, okay. 68C is a great temp for gaming, I usually hover around 75C.
-
When my cousin plays Java games on my laptop my temps are hovering around 80degree Celsius. Is that way too high?
-
Wow, 80 is a bit too high, the max i have gotten to is about 75C for crysis 2 and bf3 alpha trial !
Does anyone know how to "set CPU to 90%" or something?
