    Do you get sound when you out put the dv2500t through HDMI to the tv?

    yes u are supposed to get sound if u have connected ur comp to ur hdtv using hdmi. but u are supposed to make some changes in the control panel. u have to set ur SPDIF as default or something.

    Yes it does. If you right click on the speaker Icon in the taskbar, right click on the SPDIF interface and click set as defualt device. When you are done using HDMI, you must set the other choice as default or your laptop speakers wont work.

    man this is why i like HP.

    DV2500T + HDMI + T7500 + 2GB ram + 160gb HD + lightscribe + 8400 GS
    = 898 Shipped!

    You can't get HDMI out on a laptop for a comparable price. I have been looking and haven't seen one.

    Honestly took me forever before I decided on this laptop ( I even ordered and canceled a inspiron!) but it pays off.

    HP = good product offering. AND I love the fact that You can extend you warranty on the 11th hour right before warranty expires. That's awesome if you ask me.
