Looking at the specs on the new EliteBook, it appears to have a fixed optical drive instead of a Multibay drive. Is this true, and if so can anyone shed light on the rationale for dropping a key feature like this?

The MultiBay is renamed UpgradeBay as HP's MultiBay isn't exactly multi-functional when it only supports either an optical disc drive or a hard disk, but if that's what you want, it is still "modular".

It lists a "Fixed 12.7 mm SATA optical drive" though, which makes me think it isn't as easily swappable as older models' drives.
