Hello, I just registered, wonderful forum lots of good info. I'm currently contemplating upgrading my current laptop (HP ZD7000) for a HP DV2000t. (unless something better comes up). I will problably wait until black Friday to jump on one of the deals. I currently use a Digital Camera that has now a 4GB Sandisk SD Card, I have tried using it with my ZD7000, and my wife's Dell 700m and the card readers don't recognize the card. I was wondering in the new laptops come with an improved mem card reader so I can use these cards?. Does anybody has any experience in this?

I do not see why it should not. The card reader in my dv8000 can read a SD card of 2GB. I do not think there will be a problem with 4GB cards.

Actually I've tested 2gb/4gb sd card... currently the dv2000t doesn't recognize anything beyond 1gb ...I have to use a usb-to-sd card thumbdrive to get it to work.... it's probably a compatiblity issue b/n OS & the reader...
winxp will recognized the drive but will not let u access it....if you try to click on the drive it will ask u to format it but then failed... just buy a usb-to-sd thumbdrive off of ebay...it's less then $20bucks..

yeah, that's what I have on my laptops now, an external card reader, but I just thought I would've been great to get rid of another extra device, besides, the reader is there, is a shame that I can't be put to use!
