I can't seem to find the specs anywhere on what version of BT the HP 6500 has. I want to know if I can use the Motorola S9 Stereo headsets I have. I am hoping it uses the newer EDR 2.0.

I looked everywhere on the HP site for this information and found nothing.. So I went online with HP chat and asked. The rep did not help at all and I felt they did not know what they were talking about or understood my question.

To my amazement, HP followed up on this incomplete chat and resolved my original concern. Here is part of that email:

This email is a follow-up to our recent Chat interaction. We regret the
inconvenience caused due to incomplete chat session.

I would like to provide the information to the issue which we were
    troubleshooting in the chat session.

The notebook you are having supports bluetooth feature.

It support BT 2.0 EDR (enchanced data rate).

The new models like dv6500, dv9500 models support Bluetooth 2.0 EDR

Please be assured we are here to help you.

I think this is really nice that a large company like HP took the time to research this for me.. This kind of customer care is why HP recently received a improvement in the customer care index and why Dell just dropped several points.. Dell would never follow up on an incomplete chat session.. They just give you surveys to fill out. HP stepped it up a level and resolved the issue entirely.
