    Does the matte and brightview use the same mfg

    I have a dv 2000z brightview and use the notebook outside and in the car for my gps and the glare is bad. I want to try the matte screen and my question is what mfg make the matte screen for the dv2000t core2

    Hello, HP uses (2) MFGs LG Phillips and Samsung, I would assume that yes, the same company will make the matte screen aswell as the BrightView screen, the BrightView is just a coating that is put over the screen during the MFGs processing.

    If you don't know the maker of your dv2000t screen, I believe it is LG Phillips.

    I have a 2000z now brightview qds mfg and am returning it for the 2000t with the matte screen and was hoping to get the same mfg.

    Denmick, in this case be sure to tell hp that you want the same manufactorers screen and if you get sent a different one they will usually let you exchange it for another. I think you will end up getting the same however.
