I get my new dv6t-6100 quad edition in a couple of days. After reading about all the problems with opengl i come here for information.
The dolphin emulator can use both opengl and directx plugin, with directx being the favored. Can anyone with a dv6t-6100 able to use the dolphin emulator with the 6770m graphics card on directx plugin?

I have tested Dolphin-win-x64-r7596 on my DV6-6090ee, the game used Donkey Kong Country Returns using DirectX9 plugin, DSP HLE Emulation, FPS is 55~60

Thank you, but you have the 6000 series where the switchable graphics work, i am looking for someone with the 6100 series. -
Dolphin emulator makes you choose your card. it does not recognize that the 6770 is there. I've tried.

Adding onto this, could anyone specifically test Mario Kart Wii in Multiplayer mode? I'd like to know if it can exceed 40fps with this laptop.

Is there a way to get dolphon to recognize the graphics card? Any plugin? I almost get 30 fps with the intel graphics. I have the plugin set to direct3d 9 and have switchable graphics for dolphin set to high performance, but it uses the intel graphics beause it makes me choose which graphics to use.
Any fix!! -
No fix, not yet. But i imagine one is in the works from AMD. They won't allow their switchable graphics to not work with photoshop for long.
-
Yea i hope. Also cant people run photoshop on the intel graphics. I remeber being able to use photoshop on my netbook with intel graphics and an atom proccessor?
-
I've been able to play SSBB at 60 FPS consistently, though Galaxy 2 has been a little more jumpy (both at 1080p). I assumed the AMD card was kicking in because it was so smooth, but I guess not.

Do you have 6100 series?

After doing some testing, i have found out that the 6770m is working in Dolphin.
But now i have 2 problems.
Problem 1: When GC games the 6770m works perfectly clocked 725mhz, but when playing Wii games it clocks to 400 mhz. I find this really weird? Any fix?
Problem 2: Almost all my games with dolphin or regular pc games i find the my processor clocks at 2.2 ghz, which is should. But why does it not turbo to 3.3 ghz? I would love to use the extra 1,1 ghz on each core? Any way to force turbo?
Thanks in Advance. -
Turbo boost should work automatically when needed, but unfortunately Dolphin emulator utilize only two cores.
-
I fixed all my problems with Dolphin works perfectly now. And the reason why my cpu was not turboing is because i hade HP sense on quietest mode which does not let you turbo, but changing that to performance mode let me turbo
-
Great
also good to know that quietest mode disable turbo boost

my dv6t 6100 in manual graphics switching mode get wayy better results in dolphin now, can play anything in 1080p with over 60 fps. It seems with the dynamic, dolphin had been using the intel.
Dolphin Wii emulator test on dv6t-6100 series?
