I currently have the HP Pavilion dv6408nr and i installed windows XP on it (i don't care for vista). My dilemma is that i can't get a graphics driver to install because the notebook said there's an error regarding the OS.

So is there a way i can get a driver to work properly?

Ok, so i tried another driver such as the

    NVIDIA 163.75_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_whql

but when i install it, it says "the NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit"

Doesn't it seem like most of the threads in this forum are created from problems when "downgrading" to XP from a Vista shipped pc.
