Hi i'm new here. I am not very good with computers and things so these may be some pretty silly questions but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ok my laptop is getting kinda old, its a HP Pavillion dv6302tx, so I bought windows 7 ultimate and am gonna format and put that on it. It currently has windows vista on though. I don't have any of the drivers cds or anything because I was never given them with my laptop. I've downloaded the graphics card driver (I think) from here http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_win7_179.48_beta.html , and the wireless card one http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18211&ProdId=2259&lang=eng . are these right and what other drivers should i download. Thanks very much guys :)

Also my battery runs down really fast. Is that a problem with the battery or will installing a fresh version of windows help?
    Sorry.

www.laptopvideo2go.com - get your nVidia drivers there. As for everything else - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2100&lc=en&dlc=ro&cc=ro&lang=ro&product=3411193

You could have gone to hp.com, input your model number, and you would have found the drivers yourself, but hey, i feel like being helpful today. And yes the Vista drivers work just fine on Win7. And yes... Please get 64-bit.

As for battery life, yes the problem is in the battery itself. They don't last forever you know.
