Hello guys, i saw many posts about drivers for dm4 series but all about windows 7 and windows vista.

I installed windows XP on my laptop but i need the drivers.
If someone have information about the drivers (how to get it) or have the drivers to share with me, would be great!

Thank you very much for all!

While I'm strongly opposed to using XP on a new machine at this point and I strongly suggest sticking with Windows 7, a Google search for the model number brought me to this: Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion dm4-1090la Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Though again, unless you really need XP for some reason, I really feel that you should move on from it. You can't use it forever, and now is as good a time as any to drop it. The longer you wait, the harder it'll be.

That was a great explanation to why Windows XP shouldn't be a option anymore. Windows 7 does a great job at what it does, and you should at least use Windows 7 for a month or two and then go back to XP.

native XP is an option if you like gimping yourself on newer generation of hardware.

XP driver support is starting to be difficult to achieve close to or full performance and specification or find on newer machines.

Heck, even my out of the box fedora 13 performs better and do much more than my windows xp test install on my dv6.

Actually, looking at that page now, it doesn't really have any drivers! Hm. That just reinforces my point. Reinstall Windows 7. You'll be used to it in a day or two, and you can always upgrade to Professional if you run into compatibility problems.
