I would like to start a thread about any issues you guys have with current drivers that you have on HP machines you bought with Vista ALREADY INSTALLED ON from factory. Have you had problems with any devices? Have you had to upgrade to a newer version of driver to get better performance? Please share so others know what they need to do after they get there new Vista laptop.

i personally would not try to update any of the delivered drivers abeit graphic card - yet.
certain sound manufacturer (realtek per example) is quite on the ball, but the rest is not quite there
but, w/o scaring anyone off, vista has a wonderful way of going back to previous driver when the installed one does not work out or it can warn you that the current is better than the about.to.be installed

Don't feel bad my cto dv6000 is in the sorting facility one county next to mine (20 miles away) since Friday because FedEx doesn't deliver it on Sat/Sun. Hopefully tomorrow by 10am I will have it at my house.
-
Argh. I want mine now. I dont think Fedex delivers on Monday either?

I just double-checked again.
Fedex Home Delivery is: Tuesday–Saturday. Delivery is between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Fedex Ground is: Monday–Friday. Delivery is by the end of the business day.
I ordered the free all-in-one printer that came with the notebook and they sent it through Fedex Home Delivery, so I think the laptop will be the same.
What really sucks is I probably won't be home. I have to either leave their dooor tag signed or get it at the nearest fedex place. Lame. -
I picked up my dv9000t last Tuesday. So far, the only update that it needed was a quick Windows update and a Conexant (sp?) HD Audio driver.
Nothing else as of yet. -

What!? That's rediculous. I will call them tomorrow and see. If they don't deliver, I will drive over to that county and pick up my PC. I have never heard of this before. -

HP ships notebooks via FedEx IPD (International Priority DirectDelivery -- a special service for companies that ship a large number of international products between two specific countries, ie. China and the U.S.). They deliver Mon - Fri.
