    Hi guys,
my name is Giovanni, i'm 24 and i'm student.
I hope you can help me :
i bought a Pavilion 15-n073sl with Windows 8. I upgraded to 8.1 but i hate that o.s, so i decided to create an other partition and there install windows 7. To do this, i visit the hp website and downloaded every software/driver for my pavilion.
So when i finished to install windows, i started installing drivers. I have some problems, for example:
    - I installed the intel hd driver and the geforce driver, but there is a "!" on intel hd grafics. The geforce driver is installed, and there is not any "!" but i can not upgrade the software because iy gives me some errors. And i'm not able to switch the two videocards ( on windows 8 i could choose if use intel or geforce).
    - The usb 3.0 didnt work, i set on te bios some options and now they works ( i dont know if they work as 2.0 or 3.0...help me..i installed the driver)
-The realtek car reader doesn not work, there is a "!" even if i installed the driver.

    What can i do?

*At the moment, i'm using the intel video card, even if there is the "!"...resolution is setted ok, but if i scroll windows it is not fast...i think i should be a driver problems....

The partition containing w.8 is still live, so at the moment i can choose whick o.s. using.

From my understanding to really use Windows 7 you need to disable the UEFI bios so you can format to Windows 7 usage. But if I were you I make sure you got the recovery cd/dvd for the HP first that came with factory install before doing the Windows 7 downgrade. After which I would just disable the UEFI security bios to allow for a complete wipe of the HDD to install Windows 7 if you go that route. Your inability I am not sure about the video switch could be related to the UEFI security or something else but you will have to contact HP about this and ask why what you need to do to get it downgraded to Windows 7. But from my understanding you first should get all the right drivers for your matching hp from their respective sights before doing what you did just incase something should go miss. I don't but didn't ask did you disable the UEFI bios when you did windows format partition?

i didnt disable uefi bios. i just set bootage from cd rom and an other option for o.s different from the 8.
i dont have any cd, i have a partion called recovery. so at the moment i hav 3 partitions, 1st run windows 8, 2nd windows 7, 3th recovery. so u suggest me to format again paying attention to disable uefi security bios...and then install windows 7 again...so i can delete the 1st and 2nd partionts but i should leave the third, right ?

Well first are you trying to keep dual boot? If so I would not wipe Windows 8 then but are you planning to use both O/S or to use one? And which one are you more familiar with using? I seen where HP seem to be bringing back Windows 7 per customer demands and popularity so that if true could work in your favor. Contact HP and ask can you downgrade your HP from Windows 8 to Windows 7 then we can see if you can dual boot if you need to. But to fully use Windows 7 and no other O/S you will have to disable the UEFI security bios to allow Windows 7 to wipe clean the HDD/SSD to be able to load and use Windows 7. And seems like I found your same posting on another site as well asking the same thing???? I looked but don't seem to find your model drivers for your laptop in Windows 7 from the search so you might have to contact HP support and ask is there support for Windows 7 and drivers on my laptop.
