Is it possible for 2 different programs to output to 2 separate headphone jacks? i.e. I want skype for example to output to my headphones while my wmplayer outputs to the speaker (either connected through the jack or the internal speakers)

i highly doubt it. the dual headphone jacks were meant for the purpose of 2 people using separate headphones to listen to the same thing instead of using those headphone splitters, not to allow separate sound outputs.
