Hey I'm having some issues with my dual screen setup. I have my Vizio VX32L hooked up to my 6500t via the HDMI port. I continually get this issue where I power on my hp, with the tv already on, and the connection doesn't work. It will detect the tv, then the extended desktop will flash on, then off, then on, then off some more times, and I will eventually end up with my comp not detecting any connection to my HDTV. While this is occuring windows presentation settings are turning on and off too. I have the proper settings saved in my NVIDIA control panel too. So does anyone know how I can hook up my tv without experiencing these issues? Do I need to turn some setting off? Use different software for the setup? Please let me know.

While my 26" vizio did not exhibit the same situation, although it was quirky. More because I use a second lcd normally and it didn't like switching back and forth between the lcd and the tv. But the real reason I thought I would post is because I got the following response when I asked Vizio about connecting a computer to the tv via HDMI.

Using the HDMI is not recommended for connecting to the TV please use the RGB input on the TV

P.S Please include in each message its entirety starting with the original message

This may be different for the 32" but thought I would pass it along.

hmmm, well I could use rgb but then I don't get the benefit of streaming audio through the HDMI port. I would like to be able to continue to do so.
