I just purchased an HP ENVY m6-1105. I cannot get the extended display to work right. The mouse will only show in the main display leaving the second display useless. I don't want a duplicate display, but it seems the mouse only works in both when on duplicate.Any suggestions?

That's rather strange. Are you using HDMI or VGA monitor out port to connect? I just wanted to confirm, the display does extend to the monitor, it's just that the mouse won't drag over there? If that's the case, have you tried playing around with the display orientation in the driver settings to make sure your monitor is in the position the computer expects (i.e., off to the right or left) and you're not trying to drag the mouse the "wrong way" to get to the extended display? That model you have has an AMD graphics card and I have an Intel one so I won't see the exact thing you do so unfortunately I can't confirm settings or issues.

Screen orientation did it. Apparently they were set side by side instead of one on top of the other.
