    Hi All,

I noticed that System Properties sometimes displays a different clock speed between CPUs. 1.60Ghz for the first and 798Mhz for the second.

My dv2000t has an Intel Core2Duo processor 1.60Ghz. I have not overclocked the computer.

I've attached two screenshots taken at different times that show the different clock speeds. Is this normal?

    TIA

It's the speed-step, the CPU reduces the clock automatically when there is no need for the CPU to work at full power and increases the clock later when needed . Reduces power consumption.

    Also, try CPU-Z.

wow! I must say, speed-step is impressive. I've been watching CPU-Z. The clock switches very fast if the task is resource intensive.

    Thanks guys.. Kudos to Intel!
