Hi, I just got the dv2700 laptop. I have a problem with the wireless connection. Everytime I turn on my laptop, I need to turn the wireless switch off and back on again before it can connect to my router, because it's saying that the wireless switch is off even it is on. Can somebody help me with this? I don't want to keep turning the switch off and on everytime I turn on my laptop. Thanks!!!

It's a known problem...I had it and it gets worse until it will not connect up to a wireless network at all. I replaced the wireless card, the OS, then the MB and nothing fixed it. Demand a new computer. I had the F572US with AMD X2 and they ended up sending me the system below with larger HD, Light Scribe, etc.

It was escalated to the managers hotline when my patience of wasting days and days on diagnostics, etc grew short.

They will run you through a bunch of tests. Back up everything now because they will ask you to format your computer. Then they will offer to send you a new WIFI card after they attempt to re-seat the original. That worked for me for about a day then the problem started again....I went through the same thing again.

If you PM me I will send you the manager's hot line....try that first and tell them it's a known problem. Do a search for "WIFI problems or network connection problems" or something along those lines and you'll see there is ALLOT of problems and it's a KNOWN problem with HP.
