    Did anyone got it to work?


    web camera isn't not working. instaling GM45 chipset drivers from intel website didn't do anything I have 2 unknown devices

    Web cam not working? Try Vista drivers, those should work.

    You'll need the webcam drivers, but great that you install the chipset drivers first. :D

    edit: I was wrong, my webcam is just a USB 2.0 device; detected automatically.

    And there is no place I can locate web cam drivers. Even for Vista.

    it's on the utilities disc that came with your laptop.

    There are no drivers needed (and none exist) for the webcam in the dv5t.. it has worked fine for me in Win7.

    How do you know the unknwon devices are the webcam? Have you tried installing and running Youcam to see if it works?

    Find the hardware PnP ID and search for it on google. That's the only way to get most webcams to work within Win7.

    And where I can find that? In Device Manager I can see Hardware Ids: *HPQ0004

    Ah that is nothing to do with the webcam. That is the HP Hard Drive ProtectSmart feature (an accelerometer).
