Did anyone got it to work?
web camera isn't not working. instaling GM45 chipset drivers from intel website didn't do anything I have 2 unknown devices
-
Web cam not working? Try Vista drivers, those should work.
-
You'll need the webcam drivers, but great that you install the chipset drivers first.
edit: I was wrong, my webcam is just a USB 2.0 device; detected automatically. -
-
it's on the utilities disc that came with your laptop.

It's all on the HP site........................................................

Just use the software package from dv5t-1200se. The Cyberlink cam package (dv5t-1000) should come with the drivers too, though I am not 100% sure. -
There are no drivers needed (and none exist) for the webcam in the dv5t.. it has worked fine for me in Win7.

-
How do you know the unknwon devices are the webcam? Have you tried installing and running Youcam to see if it works?
-
really upsetting -
Find the hardware PnP ID and search for it on google. That's the only way to get most webcams to work within Win7.
-
-
Ah that is nothing to do with the webcam. That is the HP Hard Drive ProtectSmart feature (an accelerometer).
