Does anyone know if the dv5t will give external hard drives such as the Western Digital Passport or Seagate Go Drive enough power under its USB. These drives rely on one USB drive to both power and send data, some laptops prove to not be able to power them.

I'm interested in knowing whether i can buy lets say the passport and have it run without the need for a Y 2 prong USB dongle. Any information or input is as always greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all

It'll work fine  I've been using a 250gb WD Passport with my dv7t for a while :)
