Yesterday, out of the blue, my dv5t stopped charging. I was using it normally, and thenswitched outlets to go to the next room. When I sqitched outlets, something must have fried because when everything is plugged in, no charge comes through. I do hear a faint clicking sound from the power brick though. Its dissapointing because its the second time in 1 year that I will be sending my laptop in for repair. I will try to get an extended warranty for free when I talk to them because it has been faulty.

does the supply give any power? might be your battery not wanting to charge, easy check is to remove your battery from your laptop and plug in the power brick... If it can use the power, then it looks like your battery may be at fault. I've had a similar experiance though but it was selfsolved after changing outlets once more with a 6 hr break inbetween.

don'tthink this has been overly helpful, but its similarish to what I've had experienced b4.
