I'm having an issue with my laptop in that the screen intermittently cuts out. It appears that occasionally when I tilt it back or forth the screen freezes and there's sometimes a few horizontal lines. Generally I can move the screen around until it works properly again. I'm guessing this is something to do with the cable going to the LCD.

I've searched around and can't find any answers

Can the LCD cable be replaced? Where would I go about finding one as well as instructions on how to change it?

The video cable plug may also not be properly seated into its socket; hence why the screen misbehaves when you move it.

Ok I've taken it apart and I've found what appears to be the problem. The cable is fine, as is it's connection to both the motherboard and the screen. The problem is the circuit board at the top. I don't believe it's making proper contact at where the circuit board actually connects to the screen.

I say this because i actually took it apart while the laptop was running (a bad idea i know) and played with the cables until I isolated which cable would cause my issue.

Is there anything that I can do, or do I just need to order a new LCD?

Could you please take a picture of the problem and post it? I'm not really getting what you're trying to say. Thanks.

Here it is. The picture is marginal but should give you an idea of what I'm talking about. There is nothing obviously wrong that I can see, but anytime I touch that area it seems to make the issue better or worse, so I beleive that's where my problem lies.

    Thanks for your help

Maybe you can position the connection such that it stops cutting out. Then you can use electrical tape (or even duct tape will do) to secure it.
