I have received a hp dv6233se from my manager at work, asking me to fix it. When I press the power button, the machine will turn on, all quick play lights will power on, in fact all lights power on. But there is no display. I cannot access the BIOS, there is no P.O.S.T. It will not load from a CD-ROM.
I searched for an article on HP and found a thread that stated the BIOS for the mobo was bad and needed to be updated. I called HP and went through the online chat, but they couldn't help.

If it is the BIOS, is there a way I can flash a new BIOS from a USB floppy drive? If I need a new motherboard, can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

Thanks for posting the article link, this is the same that I used to speak with HP support. So far HP wont pay for the replacement, but I have followed some other threads and plan on working my way up to a Case Manager. I feel that reflowing the northbridge/GPU is slightly out of my skill set. I will follow up this post once I have an answer.
