Hi guys,
So I see that the hp envy 14 is now offered with an msata ssd boot drive and a regular 7200rpm HD.
The HP envy only has one hard drive bay so I'm wondering if it is possible to install an msata ssd into the dv6tqe which also only has one hard drive bay.
So if anyone has a dv6t or is familiar with msata ssds in laptops please share with us your knowledge![]()

I am also wondering the answer to this question. Does the DV6T have space and the right connectors for a msata boot drive?

and I third it - can I buy an SSD and install it side by side with my current HDD? I've modded real computers before but never a notebook - is it difficult? don't want to screw anything up

There are very few notebooks that have mSATA ports that would allow for installation of an SSD, and most of them are business-class machines. The dv6 isn't one of them, at least as far as I'm aware.

Is there a way to put my blu ray burner I got with the computer into an external enclosure? I will be using blu rays as backups and I don't want to be missing stuff when I switch between them.

too bad we're not at the point yet where you can use the ssd as your storage drive as well, too unreliable
I only use maybe 30 GB of my hard drive in any case -

Is there a port for an mSATA 50mm drive on that computer?
