Here are some pics of the 1920x1080 (AUO13ED) vs the 1366x768 (SEC4251, which is actually way better than the CMO version of the 1366x768, I had that before also) screen.

The SEC is actually slightly brighter overall, by about 0-5% I would say. However, static contrast (i.e. brightest divided by dimmest the screen can display at the same time) is MUCH higher on the AUO, mostly because of the much darker black.

Color wise, the two screens has about the same range in blue, but AUO has much more range in green and red compared to the SEC.

Viewing angle... well... just look at the pictures.

Pictures are taken form a 1.3 MP phone, so obviously they are going to be of very crappy quality, but nonetheless shows the difference of the two screens quite profoundly.

    Thanks for this comparison!

The 1366x768 SEC4251, which is what I have, is just absolutely hideous compared to the beautiful 1920x1080 AUO13ED. At least I'm glad to know it's still better than the CMO version.

Since you are the only one on this forum who has both laptops, I'm wondering if you could do a quick open up to see if the cable of the 1366x768 is compatible with the 1920x1080.

Really wish you could purchase the 1920*1080 screen separately, I would be all over it.
