I'm at work & i just wanted to know(realize i can find out for my self when i get home)
Bought Intel ssd so i was planning on moving the current hard drive to the 2nd empty bay and using the ssd as the main boot drive

Anyone done this to a DV7?

will i need to purchase a hard drive caddy or any addition connectors?

yes, you will need to purchase a hard drive caddy. You can buy them from NewModesUS. They give you the connecters with the hard drive caddy. I bought one for my dv8 about a month ago and I can say that they are reliable.

^ i agree with the gentleman above. go with a caddy from newmode.us

as for running ssds, several people here are running ssd's as primary drives with regular hard drives as their secondaries. i can confidently say that 100% of the people are extremely happy with their ssd drives/setups.

im waiting for prices to come down so i dont have to sell my arm for a 320gb ssd. i need my arms and i like them a lot =/
