I bought a new Dv7-4170eb. The CD tray button needs to be pushed with a sharp object to penetrate deep enough to make the CD pop. I sent it for repair and returned the same, after bexel replacement.

I asked support, who checked their own unit - the same. Then they told me it is most probably a "design" feature. Ha! - a design feature that makes the machine useless?

Anyone can enlighten me if this is "design" or just useless support team?

Yep the cd tray has a horrible plastic bezel... theres not much to do about it but you should be able to manually eject it by right clicking the drive in my computer and hitting eject its really easy.
