Well, I only have 2 speakers working, the bottom ones dont do anything nor does the subwoofer.

I think tis the IDT driver, it has to be , cos me sending this baby back from where I am at will take months.
It shows me under speaker configuration only stereo option, so my guess is the other speakers dont get the signal there supposed to.

Or is it something else? Ive tried everything I can think off and even HP instant support told me to ship it back cos its probably hardware. But me not seeing even 1 forum post about this , makes me doubt that only mine has this problem :/.

I have tried tweaking beats to no avail , tone control , bass enhancement .... the works, reinstalled the 11 feb drivers several times, installed some new and old ones i found that were "compatible" nothing worked.

Now I actualy did a clean windows install and SAME shiet :/

anyone have any idea whatsoever, or could you link me to some DRIVERS that actualy might work?

I do not know if this is related, however on my dv6tqe-6000, Windows only recognizes my system as having 2 speakers total. I can hear sound from all four (dv6 does not a sub-woofer), but the system only sees 2. I am wondering if the same left signal is being sent to the two left speakers and the right to the right, instead of being split into four seperate channels? Four speakers, but just two channels (or in your case 2.1 channels).
