Any dv8000z owners want to give a link to which RAM chip you bought?

    Thanks for your response.

How long have you been running those? I'm concerned because I used the Crucial Utility and it told me to use CT499528 which costs quite a bit more than the one you mentioned and says something about not being responsible for uncompatibility if I don't use what they said to use.

I also can't find the one they recommend for sale cheaper anywhere else.

Hopefully Customer Support will respond soon.

Hmm... months, I forget precisely when I bought them. Probably in February. I verified them with MemTest86+. I suspect the "special" memory is just plain ol' memory plus Crucial's compatibility guarantee but I wouldn't swear to it.

I bought 1g. Everything seems fine. I downloaded windiag and it says everything is fine. How can I tell if its running at 3200 or not?

CPU-Z's Memory tab will tell you. If it says ~200MHz you're good.
