I was looking at the specs of the Go 7600 and noticed that it's supposed to be clocked at 450 core and 500 memory (do they mean 500 x 2 or 250 x 2 as they do sometimes?). However using coolbits I find mine is clocked at 450 core 380 memory. I know that sometimes manufacturers underclock these cards (or so Ive heard) but I was wondering what is every1 else's readings and if you have bothered/tried to overclock? And yes this is the 3D performance setting, the 2D is much lower. My 3Dmark06 scores are 2000+ so it looks fine but just wondering if something's not right...

I think all the dv9000s are at 450/380(760 effective). I know mine is the same

hmm yet checking the 3dmark06 scores shows that if indeed a Go 7600 running 450/500 gets 1900-2100 marks then shouldnt our cards be running that speed too? Unless there isnt any laptop out there that has the 7600 running at 450/500 and therefore the 3dmark scores were based on laptops running speeds like ours.

HP probably downclocked out cards. I havent had any luck in getting them to OC anything. Its probably locked in the BIOS. Granted though 240mhz might make some difference but it isnt going to be enormous as for running games and such.

yeah thats the thing the specs say 500 memory but the tests on other laptops (apparently) bring out results similar to ours. I have been able to overclock to 480/450 on this and got about 2300 marks for it, so not THAT much compared to the norm.

Personally Im keeping mine norm. Its all good I can run EQ2 at almost max settings except during a raid. So all in all not a bad card. Not as good as a 7900 or 7800 but hey. lol
