    Ok, so I picked up this nice Pavilion DV9339US 1.66 C2d, 2gig, 200HDD, 7600 for $900 open box.

I get everything set up, get Battlefield 2 running, and with Rivatuner, it shows my temps are getting to 96c! That is just insane! For reference, the card is stock tuned to 450/380 and idles around 71c! I downclocked it to 350/350 and it runs at around 90c but is a little choppy on BF2 on high settings - not acceptable!

Even with a cooling pad it stays consistantly around 92c!

Since this is an open box i cant replace it from the store, i could return it, but for $900 this machine is an absolute steal!

Any advice on cooling this beast down?

Also a side question, they didnt give me restore disks (and i never made any...doh), i immediately brought it home and wiped the drive. I realise now that these new laptops needs tons of software to keep them going (ie for the webcam, quickplay, etc)

I used to be able to just wipe a computer without thinking of backing up and software, so how do i get these back? Is there an iso i can burn floating around somewhere?

    Thanks everyone!
