    Hello,
    I have the budget Presario V2405US model.
    It came with a DVD/CDRW drive.

    I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a DVD RW to swap it out with the current DVD rom/CDRW I have.
    I don't care if the bezel is black as long as it fits in the slot and will work.

    I looked on ebay but did not see any.
    PS It cost way to much too order from HP/Compaq and it is not worth it.

    Buy one of these. See the HP service guide for your notebook for how to replace the optical drive. I put an earlier model NEC drive in my zv5000z. Very easy upgrade.

    I just found out that is the one to get.
    It just swaps out and I will update driver.

    No need to update the driver. I have the slight older 6500. It is a very good drive.
