I have had a zv5200z for 2 months and seems to work great. Recently, when I play dvds, they seem to skip or jerk. Anyone know why or how to stop this. It hasnt happened more than 2 days ago. Is this due to loading in the system cache? The strange thing is that it wasnt happening before and I want to make sure its not a warrenty issue or drive issue. I have been importing a ton of music using the drive lately, could that be the cause?
    Thanks,
    Mike

How much ram are you running? Also HDD speed could be a factor. One more thing, make sure your system isn't being bogged down by spyware and such. Download Search and Destroy and do a spyware check. Sometimes, spyware can sloooowwwww your lappy to a creeping hault. Also, if your downloading and deleting files and such..you might want to defrag your HDD....you should do this monthy, but more if your always adding and deleting files. Sounds like a software problem not a hardware problem.

    Thanks Tacjam,
I will try to defrag but I recently did. Could be. Not spyware for sure, I am running 4 programs against it. And I have 1 Gig of Ram with an amd 64 3400+ 2.20 . That should be plenty. I will try to defrag and post again.
    Thanks
