I see buy.com has a E14. List price is $1450 and the sale price is $1200.

Doing the upgrades, as listed on buy.com, the price on hp.com came up to almost $1200, the same price as buy.

So is this list price that buy.com is advertising a misprint, or could the specs be wrong and this really has the 1600x900 screen? Anyone want to take a guess?

DISPLAY: 14.5" diagonal High Definition HP BrightView Infinity LED Display (1366 x 768)

    No such luck, sadly.

They probably added onto the original base price of $1099 and not the new $999 base. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't make a mistake on the specs.

I couldn't remember - what ever happened with the Amazon units. I know those were listed with the 768, but didn't those come with the Radiance screen?

I guess I was just hoping, because of the price, maybe that the specs were a mistake on buy.com

No, the ones on Amazon were always listed with the 768 when it wasn't even available at HP direct. This hinted that the Radiance would soon become an upgrade option and 768 the base, as companies always do product price changes and base configuration changes it was no surprise that the Radiance would be higher priced later.
