This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    My envy 14 is not reading the disk. I put the cds in, but noting would pop up. I even checked in my computer. Help?

    Does the DVD drive change status in Explorer when you insert a disk?

    If not, you may have a bum drive.

    Also check the system logs (in Administrative Tools)

    I just found out, it would would read every disk besides the Norton Security disk that I'm trying to install.
