Hello Guys
Envy 15 is @ $300 off right now after coupon..

Please recommend me either to purchase the envy 15 now or wait for a deal on envy 14?
Specs are mentioned in the picx below..
Also its been a long time i have read envy 15's owner thread so all those envy 15 owners please post your valuable feedback if envy 15 has still any problems..

It's a simple decision, but it depends on what you will be using it for.
If you will be running demanding games, or lots of video or photo editing, CS apps, etc., then go with the E15. The fact that your setup comes with the slice battery means you will get triple the normal battery life of the E15, which is very poor without the slice.
If you want more of a balance between battery life vs. performance without having to use a slice battery and you want an internal optical drive, then go with the E14. -
how much weight the slim fit extended battery adds to the envy 15? and does it make it thick? -

It's very thin but extremely heavy. The slice is a very well designed product, so that even with the slice attached, it still seems thinner than many high end laptops, but extremely heavy.
It's kind of hard to measure the thickness because of the angle, but the slice is about 0.25-0.35" thick.
To give you an idea, the E15 is 1.04" without the slice, the Vaio Z is 1.3", the m15x is 1.3" -
Also what about the touchpad in 2nd generation envy15? is it comparable to envy14's touchpad?

they are the same except the E15 touchpad area is a little bigger, as far as I know.

once you update the envy 15's touchpad driver and bios the touchpad is very nice to use

The Envy 15's touchpad is smaller than the 14's. If I recall correctly, it also doesn't have click capability like the 14's.
Click meaning you can physically depress the pad for a tactile click.
