    Gentleman,

Been using my ENVY 14 now for 1.5 weeks with no issues....tonight I started getting the WIFI disconnect problems already addressed in this forum. I have not yet updated the drivers, but half an hour later, I connected the Power Cord and then it asked if I wanted to Switch the Graphics Card, and I said Switch....then the screen went black and Froze

It stayed like that for about 20 minutes until I turned it off....Now, when I press the power button, the lights indicator (F12/wifi) come on, but the screen stays Black. What the Hell is going on here? $1750 and is this what we get?
    Please advise.

Can you plug into an external monitor to see if anything comes up? Sounds like a hard ware issue with the video card.

Are you using a surge protector on your power supply? Unlikely but a surge could have taken some stuff out.

Call HP and send back the laptop since you are within the 21 day return policy.

Thank you Rustican. I did connect to an external monitor and it did come fine. It looks like I had an old driver for the Graphics....once I updated the drivers, everything came back to normal...

    egh. that's a bad bug.

I've noticed that if you delete the drivers it goes back to 8.713 (original drivers)

if your backup 8.713 is broken well..yeah.
