Hi all. It's time for my first posting in here. :) Here is the case,

I have a HP Envy 14 (i7 Q720 1.60GHz) that I bought in the US. Now I need a Scandinavian (or Norwegian) keyboard, preferably a backlit one. Does anyone have a parts number for this item?

(Yes, I tried to contact HP Norway, but they are not very helpful to put it mildly.)

there's a hp parts store you can use to order stuff, but I'm not sure if you can order the stuff globally (you may have to order it through an authorized hp reseller or something)

the part your looking for is the: 608375-DH1

keyboard cable and keyboard light cable)

if you have a beats edition instead you need this keyboard: 619400-DH1

Description: Keyboard for use only on Beats Edition computer models in Denmark, Finland, and Norway (includes
keyboard cable and keyboard light cable)

you'd probably have to do a custom order and it will probably cost roughly $130 (american..so however that translates over) It costs $114 american to buy the US version of the keyboard through the hp parts store and ya know, that's before shipping or anything. The us parts store (and the european/norweigan one) don't have a price or any real availability for that keyboard so..I dunno. You'd have to call them up and figure it out.

here's the assembly guide for the envy14 (has the parts list in there somewhere, how to remove keyboard, other stuff, etc) http://www.mediafire.com/?jyccf6jd8xhbx54

yw. it probably won't be in stock and will need to be a custom order.

those two companies were just the hp authorized resellers that showed up if you searched on the hp parts store website, picked norway, and uh looked for resellers

You see, the whole truth is that I have spoken to Convena already but they gave up since they weren't able to find the part number. But now I have it!

There is a combo keyboard with swedish/danish/norwegian letters and the part number is 612058-DH1 but try and track down a norwegian keyboard (if it exists) becuase its only the swedish letters that are backlit on the combo keyboard. The danish and norwegian letters are just printed with green a blue onto the keys.

When I bough mine from Convena in august the number in the service and maintenance manual didnt seem to match so they searched on the swedish product number for the E14 and managed to trace it. Maybe look up a part number for a norwegian model and give it to them ease the search?

First post aswell for me and have kind of a similar problem.
I'm going to buy the HP Envy 14" Beats Edition with the i5 580M 2.66 GHz
And i would want to buy a Danish Backlit keyboard for this. And have it installed aswell? Where would i be able to place such a custom order/instalization.
For the moment i've been through: ETT Nordic, who sent me to HP Chat, who sent me to HP Support Denmark who sent me back to ETT Nordic.
They sent me to HP chat. And there i stopped and went back to ETT tried to clarify things. And so far this seem to be quite problematic. Anyways, the thigns that i've been able to find out myself during this:

    Product Number: XC509AV
Model Number: HP ENVY 14 beats Edition customizable
    Name of the keyboard: 619400-DH1

eecnordic told me that they could not get this part since it was for an US model. An HP in US told me that they could not sell it since it was a nordic product.

I'm very curious about how you solved it noaide, since i doubt it matters if it's a Danish or Norweigan keyboard you want.

    A quick update.

The keyboard arrived today. It's a Swedish keyboard, backlit, and as Reckie says, the Norwegian and Danish letters are printed in green and blue respectively on the keys. So far so good. Now the real problem has appeared:

What computer surgery procedures are necessary to access the keyboard?

In my efforts to find out I laid the patient belly up an opened her. I removed the battery cover, the battery itself, and the remaining back cover. Then I removed all the screws that — from what I could see — attached her internal organs to the chassis. I did not remove the harddisk though. Gently trying to manipulate and lift the inner parts from the chassis I realised that it was just not possible.(?)

Maybe that is not the solution at all. I anyone has an idea feel free to chime in. :)

For the time being I'm powergoogling the problem. To be continued ...
