Hello All,
I am planning to order a customized ENVY 15t-3200 laptop and wondering if anyone has tried using this Caddy to replace the optical drive with a 2nd hard-drive?
I am planning to order with the hybrid HDD and then replace the optical drive with my own SSD. Although the website states that its compatible with Envy 14 and 15 models, I am not sure it will work in the latest Ivy Bridge models.
Thanks!

I am looking at doing the same thing. Taking my 750 GB and making is the secondary drive and adding a 256 GB SSD drive. The drive you link to is too rich for me. Others have used a caddy from ebay for about $12.
I found this which should help. It is based on the Envy 3000 model...

I'll be doing this as well. I have a caddy from newmodeus left over from my Envy 14. Glad to hear the ebay ones work too, i may order another there.

Thanks for the tips guys. The ebay one really seems a much better deal.
Finally pulled the trigger and ordered my Envy 15 today. -
Do either of the caddies match the aluminum exterior of the envy 15?

Any more details on this? I would also like to find out the procedure to install this drive in the optical drive of my envy 15 3200.
edit:
will this also void warranty?
