    ENVY 17 - sound turns on after reboot

    Not sure if I am having a mental block, if so please bear with me.

    I have a ENVY17 1011NR and whenever I switch off the sound using F9 or Windows sounds turns off as expected. But- whenever I reboot the sound is automatically resumed on?! Very annoying if I'm in a quiet office etc when I want a quiet boot.

    Never had this problem with old HP pavilion laptop, what am I doing wrong? All responses appreciated.

    Fixed it - Windows Sounds Uncheck Play Start Up Sound
